The original of this 1979 masterpiece goes for $ 500 on the collector's market. This is a fabulous limited-edition, two-disc set packaged in a deluxe, heavy-duty box. Each kit includes a gold, a numbered badge on the cover.

Rossini's best-known instrumental works, the Six Sonate a Quattro, are rarely heard in their authentic form, as recorded here, Soloists Performed By four: two violins, cello and double bass. Many arrangements exist, for string quartet, string orchestra, or wind quartet, but all derived from the sonatas.
